I have a brand new Fabia 1.2TSI 105bhp (DSG) and I have a strange sound during the trip.

The strange sound come from the area of the glove compartment(box)

It sounded like a diesel engine.

The problem is that sound created only when the car completely stops and the engine is on ( traffic light for example )

Anyone heard about this problem?

The noise you describe could be many things...but is probably nothing to be too concerned about. However, as you don't know what is causing it, a quick visit to your dealer is recommended just in case some spannering needs doing. It may just simply be that your engine is running a little erratically at tickover (something these 1.2TSI engines are prone too sometimes in their early life) and due to vibration is causing something to rub against the bulkhead making the noise.
