Hopefully my VRS is being built this week so I'm looking at a few mods, one being colour-coded Candy White grille surround, so wanted to get it done pre-delivery. A mate has a pre-FL grille surround.

Will a pre-FL surround fit the FL? I know the frontlamps are different, but couldn't tell if bonnet grille were.

Sorry mate, but that is a non! the complete front ends are different between the pre-FL and FL! You can get the surround from the stealers relatively cheap though approx' £50.

I'm probably missing a post that tells me this - so I appologise in advance.

What would be the part number for the surround on the FL?

It's going to be a while before my FL arrives, but tempted to get the surround purchased and sprayed up in advance.

I'll email my salesman and see if he'll get one in and colourcoded for me - I doubt the dealership will fit it for me, but I can get everything else prepared.

I'm assuming that if I buy a new surround that would arrive without a badge.

Is it easy enough removing the badge from the original surround and re-attaching to the new grille?

Or is it simply worth buying a new badge too and then fitting that once I've had the new surround sprayed up?

Remember you are only replacing the surround. The vRS badge is on the black plastic grill section. See pics in my post above

ETA : on reflection you probably mean the Skoda badge. If so you do need to order one as the one on the grill it comes with is bonded on. I paid £8.50 I think from the dealer

I bought a new badge stoofa, think it was about £15 from memory. It comes with double-sided foam to attach it to the new grille.

Yer I did mean the "Skoda" badge as opposed to the vRS one
