re setting dash service reminder

Featured Replies

hi guys can anybody tell me or point me to where on the site i can find how to reset the service reminder on my fabia mk2 08 plate

thanks in advance mark

Do you have the Maxi-dot display in your dash?

Pretty sure you can reset it on there via the menu (press and hold the ok button next to trip), under the service menu.

Don't quote me on that though.

Failing that, dealer should be able to do it or somebody with VAGCOM / VCDS.

Hope this helps.

sorry you hagve completely lost me there ...no idea what a maxi dot is i only have one long button on my dash

The maxi-dot display is the one in the centre of the 2 dials on your dash. If you have it, you will know, it's the fancy looking one which shows when doors are open, displays MPG, trip date, warning data, etc.

If you have this, on the right stalk for the wipers should be your trip controls too. Look on the underside of this stalk and you will see the 'OK' button.

Press and hold this to access the MFD menu. Scroll through the menu using the up and down trip controls on the extreme right of the stalk.

Under here should be a service menu where you can reset the service interval from.

I could be wrong about being able to do it through the maxi-dot, so just try it and see, I might be wrong.

Worth a shot though.

so why tell you how to do it then say....but dont ! its so dealers can get you in for service and they reset it ..or you have to take it to a dealer and they will charge you 20-30 quid to re set it......thats what they charged my mate for his bmw.....my skoda is now serviced by me and reset by me...happy days
