The GreenLineII review by Auto Express is now on-line; short but very positive :)

They also have a short and vague article about Skoda's vision and new image for the future;

I suppose they just took it around the block and then wrote a report. Trekker is dead right, what you want with this car is to know the real life mpg. That is the whole point of the Greenline range. I suppose the one positive is that they confirm that the actual drive of the Greenline range is relatively untouched.

The first Greenline Yeti I saw at the Paris Motor Show also had that awful green roof...

Pathetic first drive reports.

First drive reports are just that. A gentle meander in the car for a few hours or a day or so sans any test equipment to measure the accurate fuel consumption... To expect a journalist to report the Maxidot readings is asking a bit much I'd say. If you read a full 8 page Autocar test you'll notice they do a full test at a test track with TONS of equipment measuring all sorts of things. They can't do all that for every car they drive! If they do that the magazine will cost £20 a pop! :no:

Completely agree with that - they tell you the main differences and some stats, job done. Often, they end up using publicity photo's too!

Also interesting to me is that both articles comment on the high quality of the ride in the standard car, which has been my experience in the Yetis I've driven. Yet some commentators, notably What Car, have found the ride jittery. Makes you wonder.
