Need a top-up. Is the Halfords stuff acceptable to use?

I note in the manual it makes reference to 'G12 PLUS' and specification TL-VW 774 F. I can't see any specifications listed on the Halfords page, although they're often poor for including detailed product information.

Just wondered if anyone had bought some previously and if it had been OK. If not, then I'll nip to the local VW dealer.

I bought a bottle of the Halfords stuff and it did say something like TL-VW 774 on the back, but I'm not sure about the F bit and this was a couple of years ago.

Never had any problems after topping up with it either.

Thanks. From looking *very* closely at the website image of the bottle, it appears to say that it meets Audi and VW specification '774D'.

So I'm a bit uncertain. Will double-check the VW dealer for availability and price I think, as both Halfords and that dealer are in the same area anyway.

indeed, all genuine coolant will be plus plus now, shows its been superseeded lol i guess plus plus plus will be along soon!!!

OK guys thanks. 1.5L should be sufficient for top-up purposes. How much capacity does the total coolant system have anyway?
