Silver VRS 'Clean'!

Featured Replies

Most likely because the wheel isn't on the car? It's propped up on the book to see what it looks like isn't it? Hence why there are more spokes of the other wheel behind that one.

Also why the left hand side of the tyre is thinner than the right hand side.

Some serious face palm going on here! You can see the anthracite alloys and the book pretty clearly if you look! :p

Car looks good dude

I also like the rear with the badges taken off, what is best way to take badges off? Am scared of damaging paintwork!

I used an old credit card to push under the corner of the badge to lift it slightly, then just pulled at it with my finger nails. The Fabia lettering are dead easy, the vrs takes a little longer cos it kept snapping. There was very little of the credit card left afterwards! Any residue from the adhesive is easily removed by a quick rub down with some wd40, then a little polish.

Really easy job to do mate, just be gentle and you'll have no problem ;)

:D:D jesus face palm indeed.

The credit card method is pretty tough going. At the very least use a loyalty card or something you can easily replace!

Having done that the first time I de-badged a car in about 2003, I now use medium gauge fishing wire. It's much much easier to use this and saw through the adhesive.

Then WD40 or anything with petrol distillates - nail polish remover, tar remover, Tardis etc. Then remember to polish, seal and wax the area (wax as a minimum).
