Just noticed recently that my front badge is getting marked around the outer edge (see above the 'S' and the 'O' in photo below).

Anyone else had this? Is it normally replaced easily enough under warranty?

I have similar problem on rear badge. Skoda Customer Service have said its not covered by warranty as its cosmetic!!! So is paint!There's nothing in their warranty book that says that badges are not covered so they can expect to hear from me again. Car has just done over 6000 miles!

Had similar complaint with wheel centre caps on VW -they replaced them under warranty.

Had the centre caps done on my Bora 3 times under warranty....they are now almost white! Will have no hesitation taking the Skoda in for the same thing if it happens and will kick up a fuss if they say it isn't covered.

Skoda have come back to me and said warranty for trim is 6 months or 6000 miles. Wonder what next they will come up with?

Tell them its not of durabile and satisfactory quality. Claim under SOGA rather than warranty with supplying dealer.

Does it say that anywhere in the warranty documentation? If not, point out that it's a retrospective imposition of a contract term and unlawful (note that warranties are a valid contract enforceable against the warranty provider under the Supply of Goods and Services to Consumers Act 2005). Or, as mobov said, pursue the supplying dealer for one under SOGA - they're only about £20.

Dealer has agreed to replace badge-common problem apparently.
