Widest 17" Wheels on a Fabia

Featured Replies

What's the widest wheels you can get away with on a lowered Fabia? 8J? 8.5J?

I'm on 8s

I'm on 8s

Would depend on the offset and the tyres. I ran 8.5's et 50 with 25mm adaptors on the back of mine with a 205/40/17 no problem.

Are the genuine porsche twists not 9" at the rear? If so that would indicate you can go quite high. Maybe I'm wide of the mark a bit though. I've seen a set of BBS wheels in 8 front and 9" rear for a reasonable price and I'm feeling the lust take hold. Don't think I'll go for them though. Can't justify the money just now. Getting the arches rolled would surely help you out?

im running 8.5's but 25mm pcd adapters havent got much room for comprimise at the arches though!

Depends what types of twist they are, some are 8.5's and you do get 9's. Depending on the stretch you want to run would depend on how wide you can go. You cant roll the back arches, theres not a lip on them. Can roll the fronts though

I think that running 9s on the backs is pushing it for this platform of car. It almost looks 'too' wide on standard arches :bandit:

However, roll the arches, and i reckon it'll look awesome B) - EDIT, did not know about the above post from Bennett.

I'm sure there was a Polo readers ride thread on E38 that was running 9s, and it looked proper wide...
