I haven't seen anyone on here with a double din head unit. Have been looking around recently, and they are quite rare to get hold off. I bought one today!

I got a Kenwood touch screen double din head unit, which has a DVD player, MP3/WMA and CD built in. It cost around

I like!

Looks very nice, but then I'm a bit of a sucker for gadgets

Don't get me wrong its a cool piece of kit, I just think I would be looking for it to do more than play music and DVDs. What sort of other things can you do with it ?

Can you connect up playstation to the screen as well, or what about a computer? I've heard of folk putting mini PCs into their cars (although not entirely sure why), but it would be good for that.

Would be nice as well if some sort of GPS system could connect into it.

I like the idea of the touch screen, that would be nice too.

Let us know how you get on with it and no watchin DVDs while driving!! :P

lol! Yeah you can connect pretty much anything to it! Its got a Navigation add-on which you can buy... tv tuner add-on... camera add-on... pretty much everything!

I'd be interested in seeing how well the navigation add-on works. Do you know whos behind the navigation system?

Thats the unit I wanted... Have to agree about the picture quality, it is amazing in real life!

Is the face removeable or anything? That was my only worry really was having a screen on show at all times

Will be getting the navigation add-on in a couple of months, once I have saved up enough money! lol. The meny system is rather complex, because there are just so many features, however, once you get the hang of it, its quite good. The touch screen feature is very useful.

It also comes with a remote control which is very small and easy to use!

The ONLY downside of this head unit is the lack of security. There is no face off or masking of the face. However, I am in the process of fabricating my own mask for it.
