Hi all - regrettably I didn't order a spare wheel with my SM, and haven't since felt entirely happy with the "gunk" solution, especially since I read that a tyre repaired with it would have to be replaced. So firstly, is that true - does a tyre full of gunk definitely have to be replaced? Secondly, I've resorted to driving around with one of my winter tyres, (which I only got last week, and obviously won't need to put on now) as a spare. However, no spare wheel from new means no jack supplied, so can anyone please tell me what other Skoda jacks would fit, so that I can get hold of a cheap one?

On an unrelated matter, has anyone actually received their compensation payment for late delivery from SUK yet?

I have a spare jack it's a standard VAG item - Ebay is probably your friend! Postage is the killer!

BTW, you can buy a 'spare wheel kit' from Skoda - I got one from Rainworth - everything included - even the boot boxes and retaining clips!

'Gunked' tyres can be cleaned/re-used after repair but most tyre dealers would rather sell you a new tyre!

Late delivery - I have a confirming email from SUK - I'll use that when my dealer eventually invoices me for my extras

All the VAG jacks are the same (or at least will be usable)

However don't forget you will need the toolkit (containing the wheel brace etc) as well.
