Skoda - future very bright? I think so...

Featured Replies

I think with a great MK3 Octavia Skoda, will finally shake off completely their unfair stigma from the 80s. It's nearly gone, there are a few badge snobs as there will always be until that generation dies off (haha!) but I think they are pretty much there with becoming known as a quality, unbeatable value for money manufacturer to the masses. Then after an extremely competitive MK3 release, a no-holds barred Octy and/or Fabia VRS-R, perhaps an eco-friendly mini city car and then a "trendy" coupe it will even make it a desirable brand beyond us enthusiasts?! A van and a chelsea tractor SUV and they will have all mass-markets covered!

I doubt VW will let them become that good...

As a group they need to keep Skoda under VW and VW uder Audi. So certain things they won't let them do IMO.

I do wonder if the Mk3 will keep to the same shape as the mk1/2 or will be something different as in a more upright hatch like the current Astra, Focus etc.

Or maybe even more radical, more MPV like?

Surprised given the release date of 2013 we havent had any spy shots of mules or artists renderings yet.

Hope they don't do the mpv thing, that's what made seat go down hill
