Have I Got It Right?

Featured Replies

Hi

Finally got hold of someone at SUK yesterday who could actually give me my order number, as to date the dealers silence has been deafening! They just don't seem to want to know when you ask them questions, and haven't even responded to requests I made earlier via SUK, when SUK assured me they would!

My order went in on 11 October 2010 and the projected build date is week 12. When the nice young lady checked yesterday it is still week 12 and that we were now in week 9 now, but the build date was not yet confirmed on the system!

So on my reckoning Week 12 commences 21 March.

Am I correct in thinking, from what I have read on here previously, that the order is locked-in 4 weeks prior to the projected build date? IF SO, from your own experiences, when is the dealer likely to contact me to confirm my SM is actually going to be built / being built?

I am dealing through DtD so it is Marlborough Skoda in Isleworth who will be providing the vehicle.

ALSO can anyone tell me if the compensation scheme is still active, and if so how you go about claiming. Is the period of time from order date to build date or delivery date? From order date to last Monday was 20 weeks so if all goes to plan at week 12 + delivery to UK that would be around the 26 week mark. What would that time scale be worth approximately?

Sorry for all the questions [which are probably repeats] but no dealers to ask over here.

Thanks, in anticipation of your usual help

Tony

Hi tony I too have a unconfirmed build week of 12, i ordered my yeti on 17th sept last year, some have said the order is locked at about 4 weeks to biuld week but other have said it can change anywhere upto 2 weeks before build week, i think mine should be confirmed either tomorrow or monday as those days seem to be the most active for this.

Regarding the compensation, if you look down the threads you'll see one called skoda UK updated 1/3/2011 that has all the info you'll need about the " good will Gestures " as they call them

hope this helps

Regards

Richard

Hi Manxman. Like many others on here I too ordered through DTD. I was quoted 16 weeks delivery and had no communication from the dealers at all. When week 16 approached I phoned them ,to be told my monster was already at the docks. The 16 week estimate was accurate almost to the day.

I would suggest a phone call to them a couple of weeks before the due date..(Yes I know the wait is agonising, but well worth it!)

Thanks for that Richard, I'll take a peep at the forum item you mention shortly. Hope we both stick with week 12. Been long enough as it is!
