Fabia 3 interior central lock button not working.

Featured Replies

As per title, my dad's new 07 plate Fabia 3 seems to have a faulty interior central lock switch. The button does nothing, is it likely to be just a new switch needed? Easy fix?

Are you sure it is not working? it should illuminate and "Clonk" a bit... If you then try opening the doors from inside, it will take 2 pulls of the handle, rather than just the one. If it is still not working, disconnect, and reconnect the battery, giving it a min or two in between.

If you do this, you will haveto reset the leccie windows... press and hold all the way down. Press and hold all the way up. They should then work again on the auto setting! If it isnt working still, have a look in the manual as it may just be another reset needed. The chance of the switch breaking is slim at this age of car, spesh as it doesn't get wet and corroded but have a look at the internals prior to replacing as it may be a waste of beer tokens.

No, when you press the lock side of the switch, the locks don't seem to engage, no clunks. Got used car warranty so will let dealer investigate I think.
