3rd Party In Dash DVD Player

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have the Skoda Swing system prefitted in my Skoda Yeti. I was wondering whether it is possible to get a 3rd party upgrade to the music system, and specifically something which has been designed for Skoda Yeti/ VW Golf family of cars.

I was able to find this:

http://www.cars-electronics.com/6-2-Inch-Panasonic-Car-DVD-Player-with-GPS-TV-for-2008-2010-Golf6-Tiguan-Scirocco-SKODA-Yeti-Passat-CC-SKODA-Superb-ll-SEAT-Exeo-SEAT-Alhambra_p1273.html

Does anybody have any experience with installing a similar system.. The system claims compatibility with the CAN-bus, but unless someone has tried the installation themselves, would not want to risk losing features.

Look forward to your suggestions / experiences!

Thanks! :)

Its not panasonic but a chinese copy of the RDS-510, there are tons of different variations of them.

Best bet is to get a 2nd hand original VW unit as half the people report that the copy works great and others say the opposite....
