I want to tint my windows (arse end only) for security purposes as it is work vehicle :o . It's a silver estate dsg & wondered if silver tints would look better than dark tints, or another option. Open to opinions especially if you have done similar and are chuffed or not. Also precut kit info required, price / quality etc.

Silver looks absolutely naff IMHO. Self fitting is a no-no too, unless you're very good!

Defo, b pillar back. Pretty handy diy wise (joiner) but not very patient (this may be a problem). Will look into pro fits as well! Thanks on the colour advice.

There's a couple of members just recently got tints (oobster & moley_RUFC) for around £170ish IIRC, although these were hatchbacks. There are photos in fairly recent threads-do a search under the above user names.

I may be wrong, but I think a pro would remove the rear door cards to do a good job?

Don,t go for Silver!!

A friend of mine just had his Passat Estate done and cost him £180 for Limo Black.Trouble is his car is Black so now it looks like a Hearse :giggle:
