Bolero problem - wrong code

Featured Replies

Hi

Just bought a Bolero from ebay that was advertised as being supplied with the code.

The code provided doesn't work.

I have paid £20 at a Skoda dealer today for them to retrieve the code based on the radio serial number. This was a completely different code and doesn't work either. The unit is communicating with Maxidot OK as the Audio menu is there but just shows 'CODE' so it looks like it is set to CAN and not BAP.

Now having to wait an hour for the unit to unlock!

Anyway - do I have any options from this point onwards for getting the code???

The unit is one from a Superb and is going in to an Octavia. The part number is 3T0 035 156 B

To me, this looks like it may have been 'hacked' if the original Skoda database code doesn't work.

Already raised a dispute for a refund but I am now without a HU in the car as the Stream MP3 was sold last week.

Help!!!

I dont think you have anywhere to go other than back to the seller.

The unit maybe a stolen one, and the code altered and thats why the one the dealer got from the serial number does not work. Sounds like the seller has supplied the incorrect code as well, so you really are now stuck.

Yep - that was the conclusion I had come to.

I hope the ebay disputes process actually works and I get a full refund including all postage charges and the cost of getting a code from the dealer.

Haven't got a HU in the car now as the Stream MP3 was sold last week!!!!!
