2001 skoda fabia oil warning light

Featured Replies

Hi Guys . I had the skoda fabia oil warning light come on for a few seconds while driving . The oil level was

3 mm above minimum on the dip stick . Is the oil warning light sensitive on the fabia?

Worth having an oil pressure test done, but it's common to be just the oil pressure switch itself. Usually leaks oil past the switch housing and out of the peened over casing.

Just done a search and found this beacuse we have the same issue. My daughter reported the oil light flashing and beeping while out in York yesterday. She topped it up and drove home fine (60 miles) only for it to flash again about 10 miles from home, then not again. Last night I left it to stand, topped up to max. and toox it for a run with no problems. This morning, went out to check everything and went out for a run, and the light was flashing again, seemingly when braking. Since the car is still running perfectly, I suspect a dodgy sender, and reading this answer it seems to be a common problem. Am I likely to be correct with this diagnosis?
