Hi new to this forum. Just curious I'm looking at getting some new wheels for my octavia vrs this may split opinion but I'm looking at some porsche twists but dont know how they would fit as im sure the pcd etc is different (and the whole thing confuses me lo). Would really appreciaite some help.

You also have to account for the wheel offset or ET value. This is the difference between the true centre line through the wheel and the mating face of the alloy where it bolts to the hub. ET42 for example means the mating face would be 42mm closer to the spokes of the alloy in relation to the true centre line. If you replaced ET42 wheels with ET32s they would stick out from the car an extra 10mm each. You would achieve the same effect by using 10mm spacers on ET42 wheels.

The ET value of a wheel is usually stamped inside one of the spokes.

You need to know exactly what you are doing with alloy widths, ETs etc. because you can foul the wheel arches, the arch liners or even suspension components if you get it wrong.
