Fabia Estate

Featured Replies

Hi,

not been around on here for a while as had no problems with either Skud...

However, our Fabia Estate`s rear washer has decided not to work any longer. Just wondered if there was a common problem or any ideas where to look. Dont think any pipework has come adrift in the car anywhere as no water apparent.

Any help appreciated..

Andy

There is a joint in the pipework for the rear washer at the back of the engine bay just under the ECU - this also often comes apart. If you run the washer and see water dripping from under the car near the back of the front wheel it could be this.

Or the front passenger side wheel arch. If it's in leaking from there then it's a case of removing the 3 screws infront of the wheel, pulling the lining back and then pushing the pipes back together.

I doubt it's that though, as it tends to drain all the water and stop the fronts working too (IME).

Thanks, I`ll have a look when I get a minute. Just had a joint go on the Octavia recently in the boot above the wiring loom. That was interesting!! At least nothing else in the Fabia is playing up!!

As an add on. Cheers Guys. Found it....sod to get to ,had to remove air filter box, but lo and behold one joint come adrift under the ECU!! Now sorted..Many thanks..

Andy
