MK1 VRS Spax Suspension Set up?

Featured Replies

After two months I am still enjoying my Vrs, but the suspension is spine jarringly hard.

The previous owner says it has Spax suspension and their website indicates that the compression and rebound are adjustable.

Question is, what is a good starting set up (in terms of "clicks out") for the car/this old farts denture security. I'm happy to lose some smooth road flickability in favour of not being thrown off line in bumpy bends (ie most of them!)

I haven't looked yet but suspect that I'll find things pretty much wound up to maximum damping all round when I do!

Great on track but on Devon back roads not so good.

Anyone got a good Spax set up I can copy?

Thanks, Goffy.

I set mine all the way to soft and then have them turned them 360 degrees

This gives good feel but the ride is not too bad

I would do the same as above - wind them all the way soft and try it.

Then go up in 1/4 turn steps trying the car each time to see how it feels.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll give it a go at the weekend.

Same treatment front and rear?

Cheers, Goffy.
