I think my convenience module is playing up, as my electric windows have been working intermittently, then working in the opposite directions. Also the alarm randomly goes off and the boot wont open sometimes.

My first question is am i right in assuming due to these problems its the convenience module at fault?

Second question is can i buy a straight replacement, or do they have to be specially programmed?

Sorry, its a fabia VRS 55 plate.

Those issues could be convenience related, yes. Best next step would be to get a diagnostic scan done, and see if that holds any clues.
