VRS Electric windows and key fob issue?

Featured Replies

I had a strange issue wuth the car a few days ago.

The passenger window would not open from the drivers side control or the passenger door button.

No Idea why, Restarting the car didnt fix the problem, and it continued the next day. I then opened the windows using the key, Holding the open button down, When I retried the door buttons the windows opened normaly.

Then when I got out of the car (After driving 300 miles) the key lock button wouldn't lock the car. I locked it with the key, then tried the spare key, with no joy, after about 20 minutes I tried again and the fob worked fine?

Does this sound like an issue any one else has had?

Not had the window issue but I had the above once a few months ago when I first got her. Only happened once and didn't happen again. Sorry I can't be more help.

This sounds very much like Radio Frequency Interference.

I had similar problems with my car and visitors cars and eventually contacted Ofcom.

Problem was a badly designed Philips domestic appliance.

Thanks chaps, It seems to be ok today. I post again if it happens again.

My issue happenned fairly regularly, because the cause was in my own home.

If your cause was away from your home or regular destination, it may never occur again.
