Wrong instrument cluster

Featured Replies

Hi all,

i need help with my problem.

Car: Skoda Octavia year 2002, engine code AQY (2L), instrument panel with maxidot.

Problem: Something discharge the battery. I found that is instrument panel and i remove it from car. I connect panel to my 12V source and I measured it.

"Stand by" current is 86mA (on display are only CLOCK and KILOMETERS). Next i wait for 2 hours and current drain is pernamently 86mA.

If I dismantle instrument panel - all looks good. I measured all transistors whether aren´t destroyed - all rights.

Interesting is voltage regulator TLE4279GM - through it go current 55mA, but this regulator power all microcontrolers.

It can also be firmware error ?

Have anyone any idea ? Thanks everyone.
