I just checked a Fabia 2005 1.4 Automatic (75BHP)

and i checked the engine number with the one on the car license and they mismatch, but I'm not sure i looked at the right place.

can someone please direct me to where the engine number should be located? if you can upload a picture of a number for example

Engine number/name or chassis number?

Engine number in boot under boot cover along with car colour etc.

Chassis number is on the bottom of windscreen, passengers side.

Hey, I'm referring to the engine number/code

the issue is, I saw the engine code in the license papers and it should start with BKY

then i searched for the number but all i could find was GJG XXXXX.

I searched Google and i think GJG is the code of the gearbox, can you confirm?

can you post an image of the engine and point out where the number should be written?

I don't know exactly where it is on the cylinder block, but there is usually a sticker on the cam belt cover that has the number and code on it.
