D M Keith and many a Yeti

Featured Replies

Noticed recently there appeares to be a number of 140 Elegance Yetis on 60 plate floating about originally from the D M Keith empire. The dealer in Isleworth had two (one now sold) a used trader in Yorkshire has advertised two or three and now theres 5 appeared on the SUK site at their own dealership. Even stranger these vehicles are 4 months old and 4 have between 25,000 and 29,000 miles on the clock :o

No wonder private buyers cannot get a Yeti, there all going to D M Keith for who knows what use :wonder:

Three of them have registrations YC60ZT*, so all registered at the same time. Covered 6k miles per month, doing what?

Could they be Highways maintenance,or something like that? I've seen a few around Lincolnshire wearing various orange stripes and sign writing.

I'd check the bodywork very carefully if I was a prospective buyer... :wonder:

Or ex-Police? Wiltshire Police have quite a few Hondas (in fact, nearly everyone in Swindon seems to have a Honda!) but there are definitely some Skodas around the country. I would have thought they would keep them longer than that though. Any "quangos" been disbanded recently?

If they are YC registered then originally they were done in Yorkshire, and I'm sure WYMAS had a couple of Yeti Paramedic Rapid Response vehicles, so could they have come from there?

The Honda's in Wiltshire are leased for almost a peppercorn amount because the factory is there, and it is supposed to be a way of saying "thank you". Most manufacturers used to do the same, which is why Birmingham always had Rovers, and Coventry Pug's.

We drove past the factory in South Marston one sunny evening and, due to an unfortunate shadow, the motivational slogan on a large billboard appeared to proclaim "One Team, One Goat" !
