Hi,

just ordered an Octavia Scout and thought I would search various items on google that I wasn't sure of.

I found this site and now have all the answers to my questions, I must say I am quite impressed.

Perhaps Skoda dealers should give this site address as part of the sales chat.

Why a Scout? I actually went to tryout the Yeti, loved the ride but not the feel of the car if that makes any sense. The dealer suggested a drive in the 57 reg plate Scout he had on the forecourt and I was hooked, never even heard of the Scout prior to the test drive.

Hi, It happened twice now that I walked past my parked and locked Mk IV Octavia and I noticed that the infotainment system was on and the radio playing. Anyone had this before? Both times it was on a sunny day, so quite warm inside the car. Is there any way so that the infotainment system can only be switched on with a key present? Car is from Sep 2020 with 1941 software version. Thanks, Peter

Skoda Octavia Mk 3 2.0 TDI 150, 2016, Mileage: 270 K km. My Skoda has been making some strange shakings since February. Around the time the engine heat hits 90 degrees, which is normal running temperature, the car shakes harshly, sometimes smoothly, sometimes just once, sometimes 2 or 3, or more, with irregular laps in the following 1 or 2 minutes. Hi everyone. First off, apologies if this has already been covered. I did take a look but couldn't find anything specific. For history, it's a 13 plate TDI vrs Octavia (MK2) was rattling like a good un' so replaced clutch and flywheel (and slave cylinder) did do a SMFW conversion too. Turns out, that WAS a problem, but the gearbox is also shot, so that's on my list to replace next. Started and drove home fine that night. Next day, I drove it to work (about 20 minutes) no problems. Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD.
