K&N Filter for 1.4 TDI

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I purchased a K&N Panel filter for the Estate last week and after having to nip down to the sorting office to pick it up as I missed the postman, I managed to fit it this afternoon and went for a wee drive as I had to go to the hospital for a check up taking in a couple of country roads to be honest I was not expecting much from the panel filter but I have been surprised, the car seems more responsive and a bit quicker and feels much better for the filter being changed. I will keep you updated as the miles mount up over the next few weeks, but it surprised me just changing a filter.

I've done this on all my cars over the last 4-5 years and have always bought K&N aside from the green cotton filter that was in my Fabia vRS.

If there is any 1.4 TDI owners looking for a filter then contact Awesome as thats who I bought from and you will find it's the same panel filter as the Fabia vRS Mark 1.

Cheers

Davy

I was looking at a K&N for my wifes 1.2 HTP!(cos it sounds like a 911 standard!) It's funny how they now advertise it as a 'green' eco item first (being life long) and performance improvement seems second.

is there a K&N suitable for the 1.4TSI?

I'm guessing they will be a filter for the TSI as IIRC it's the same engine that has been in the mark 1 fabia just under another name.

Part Number for the filter is 33 2830 for a K&N Panel filter.

Seb- You should have the filter within two days from Awesome.

That's about what I paid, the air filter is near to the passenger side wing of the car, sort of triangle shaped box, 3 screws IIRC but one of them at the back is a PITA to get to but once unscrewed lift the lid, remove old filter and stick new one in.

Give Awesome a Call Seb and they will advise the correct filter, just tell them that a member on Briskoda bought one recently.
