EDC16 ECU

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Iam the owner of a 2007 Skoda Scout which mounts an EDC16 ECU. I purchased VAG-COM 908 months ago, and althoug it reads all the modules ok and som comfort modifications can be done, the login 12233 does not work for changing parameters of the engine (i.e.: idle speed, etc).

Does anyone know how to obtain the login for this type of ECU?

I have seen "SuperVag K + CAN" tool in Internet, and it seems to be able to get the login code for this type of ECU. Has anyone workd with this tool? Is it reliable?

Thanks for reading.

Regards

So lets see, you bought a fake VAG-COM which didn't do what you want, now you gonna buy a fake K+CAN Commander? You may want to re-think your choices and go for the real deal, I am certain that you'll get help with whatever problem you are trying to fix by raising the idle speed when you stop buying illegal copies... :p

Hi Theresias,

Many thanks for wasting your valuable time in giving me such a helpful answer.

I have been searching all the Internet looking for a guru, and now I have found it, I can't believe it.

Thanks again and best regards.

You have indeed found the guru you need  ......

however why should he give you support when you choose to buy a product that is simply a copy off their own original product??

If/when you support the company designing these interfaces and software then they will help you in return.

Is this a technical forum or do you simply waste your time making non-sense comments about the software of the members?

None of the current Ross-Tech products can give neither the PIN nor the SKC for ECU16 and ECU17 command units, this is published in Ross-Tech web page, you don't have to be a guru to know that, Ross-Tech simply cannot give you support for that. I was only asking if do you know about any tool (apart from GEKO from VAG Group) that is able to get the codes.

Perhaps all your cars own ECU15 or previous command units, or simply you only change things like the beam range with your vag-coms... I don't know.

It has been a pleasure been with you and realizing you have no idea about those kind of things.

Best regards and see you never.

Immobilizer PIN readin has nothing to do with your issue, so please stay with the facts. The things you want to do have zero, nothing, nil to do with the Immobilizer PIN. Reasons why Ross-Tech has never persued reading Immobilizer Data has been made clear but yet again, this has nothing to do with your issue.

Do we know what your issue is? Yeah, I am quite certain I know exactly why things don't work as you want them to.

Do I believe that any other tool (including a dealer VAS) will behave similar to VCDS in this context? No, I don't.

Is there a solution to your problem? Yeah, there might be but there are no plans to share that with you.

BTW: It has been a pleasure once again to talk to sb. who has very little understanding about these things but tries to proof a point by bringing up totally unrelated topics.
