Just thought id post a quick hello. My names Jon and ive just bought a 2006 '55 plate Octavia VRS mk2. I've had a few VAG cars and my last car which i still have at the moment was a lovely mk4 golf gti 1.8T.

Anyway it seems a great forum and i'm sure i'll be asking a few questions from now on.

Hi Jon,

I'm a newbie on here too, just bought a Octavia vrs petrol (2011 reg). It's a great car, now getting used to it. I's mighty fast when you let it go.

Better on juice than my (previous) Focus ST170, getting 420miles plus from a 55litre tank full which equates to around 38mpg (320 was max from the ST170 with same tank size)
