any body else had this problem......

when just normal driving in D its done this 4 times now in 3 weeks it just holds onto 1st gear when it gets too high i just flip the paddle to change up then its ok

Nope. Think you need to visit the dealer, or a VAG specialist.

I had that early on but only after using the paddles. Didn't like it but haven't it recently.

What I do do is to deliberately move the selector to manual and back to drive to ensure the gearbox knows who is (meant to be) in charge. That seems to help ? If the gearbox thinks its in sport mode it will cling on to 1st gear up to 6,500 revs which is a little bit much for pulling out of the driveway !

In a word, no. If I had, I'd be back to the dealer. Good luck.

thanks for that,didn it again this morning but I had set off in sport to beat traffic only gone about 500 yards had to stop at next junction and put it in drive and noticed it just said 1 on selector on dash not D1

will keep and eye on it and drop it in dealers
