fuel temperature sensor

have an 07 vrs and the engine management light came on, had it reset came on again after a few days. Had it read this time and it came up with fuel temperature sensor A circuit, had it reset again.

after poking about under the bonnet found the sensor (its on the front of the engine by the tandem pump) and the wiring to it looks very tight, its bent at right angles where it goes onto the plug but the wires that go into the plug look OK. anyway checked to make sure it was connected and the lights back on getting pi**ed of with it now.

So, has anyone else had any problems with this sensor, how much do they cost, will it do any damage to continue driving the car,is it easy to change.
