Engine Mangement Light

Featured Replies

Hi I have a MK11 Skoda Octavia 1.4 192,000 km, recently the engine management light came on and after a diagnostic I was told it was a lambda sensor causing it, at €150 plus fitting I said it will be fine until the NCT

However a couple of days ago I found a blown fuse in the engine bay which was for the lambda sensor so I replaced it and cleared the fault code with one of those ebay special code readers

After doing this I let the engine idle for 10 mins and it started dropping revs like it was going to cut out but it was driving perfect, after a few drives the idling issue resolved itself but the light came back on

I cleared the fault again and te car was perfect, I drove from Tralee to Shannon and back yesterday however on my way to work this morning the light is back, I reckin it will be fine for the test but would like to fix it permenantly anyway

The Fault code im getting is 16517 which from reading here is P0133 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 Slow Response

sorry for the long post but does anyone have any ideas about this

keep clearing code and driving on maybe?
