Cleaned up a Doblo today....

Featured Replies

Yup - a van! :D Mate's new work vehicle and the white paint was in a sorry way, mainly a severe peppering of tar spots, but also some scuffs to polish out, "shadow" of old company logo/stickers to try and polish out, and general muck.

Was fairly simple if a little hard work. First a wash, then around the sills and the ENTIRE back doors... with intensive tar remover. That took two hours on its own.... Then a fair claying, then machining where appropriate, then another wash and done. No wax etc as company logos will be put on to this van a.s.a.p. No real "before" pics apart from the shadows of lettering I successfully removed.

Guess which company bought this new!

Bit of an issue with the cargo door having been repaired and therefore having fresher look paint

However all sorted and the bodywork cut back nicely to match the door again. Picture doesn't show it well thanks to my poor choice of angle

The nearside of the van before I started machining (I had already de-tar'd & clay'd by this point though)

More sticker "fresh paint" to get matched in to the rest of the bodywork....

And finally one clean decent little van. The JTD engine in this one has already been remapped so probably about 135bhp. Decent poke for a van :D
