Coarse youth

For me, that slightly retro, conservative, upright stance of the Yeti was one of the features that scored over it's rivals, like the Tiguan - with its more slopey, racier lines. I did have to smile, though, and inwardly just acknowledge a tiny grain of truth, when a friend's grandson walked past while I was lovingly polishing the The Beasty the other day - and casually, without turning round, said:

'Hello Roger, I see you have bought a Skoda Shed'.

Ah me!

I thought "The Shed" was the Roomster?

I hope you told him your Shed has won numerous awards from the motoring industry & press, and was featured VERY highly on Top Gear a few weeks back, and your new shed enjoys the luxury of having the best build quality in the VAG Group, and that it has the most advanced 4x4 system a shed can have, and that your shed has SOOOOOOOOO much street cred, it hurst when wish they had one too. emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Too right: tell the lad I'd like to see him land a helicopter on my shed. Won't turn out well.

A "Shed",is a Shorts Skyvan aircraft...A later stretched version became the "Supershed".:D

I found a lot of younger people interested in Skoda nowadays. The Octavia vRS is considered cool by a lot of people I think, one young guy I sold a TSi vRS to said he thought that the fact it was such a good car and had a Skoda badge on it made it amusing for him. Same story with the Fabia vRS. As for the Yeti I find people are very curious about it, nobody has said anything negative to me about it either in the showroom or outside of work, apart from possibly they don't like the looks of a car but it doesn't bother me at all!

Well at least I dont drive a cashcow, or a joke. Lots of men are happy in their shed!

He was just being clever/funny, and I didnt mind at all. He likes it really, I think. Came out of Tesco yesterday and there was a couple looking interestedly through the windows - and we had a chat - I think another set of potential converts. Mine has its first service tomorrow - 10,000 miles of some of the most enjoyable driving I have ever had.
