Audi A3 Sport alloys for my VRS.

Featured Replies

I know there is a post regarding alloys on here, but that;s based on knowing offsets etc.

I have recently obtained 4 off Audi A3 Sport alloys, originally on a 2006 audi, with good 225x45x17 tyres.

At present these rub the front struts. What I want to know is:=

1) is it worth putting spacers on, if the tyre size is OK?

2) will I have to change the tyres?

If the option is 2) then I think the wheels will be getting resold as I got them for a very good price, with plenty of tread.

if there off a 2006 audi chances are it was the new model so they wont fit anyway wrong stud pattern

He put at present they rub so assuming they're on. I thought the same as u though 5x112

ah didnt read that bit lol, well if they bolt up itll be the tyres that are causing the rubbing miles too big, you want 205/40s

I never thought about the PCD , oops. The rubber touching the strut was suffient for the two 'bolt-faces' not to meet, so I didn't bother putting any bolts in the relavent holes. I couldn't see the point at this stage.

Thanks for the swift reply, guys. I guess it's over to E-bay. Or the 'for sale' section on here.

Try edition38 wheels are always selling on there

I checked today - wheels are 112mm PCD, and ET57

And you say you fitted them?

No, there's been a misunderstanding. I didn't know the PCD and just offered one wheel onto the front hub but the tyre touched the strut prior to the wheel making contact with the hub flange. It's a pity cos they're a smart-looking wheel and would've suited the VRS.

Ohhhhh. Yeah defo a no at fitting without adaptors. Also not a great et u want around 38

If u want these wheels on get some 20mm 5x100 - 5x112 adaptors and they should sit nice. They will need lower pro tyres and less wide 205/40s ideally

Unfortunately, you can't sell them on here, unless you pay £12 to become a Freedom member.
