One year of yeti

Featured Replies

On February 4, 2011 my Yeti 1.2 TSI has taken a year and ... 33,000 km

Positive notes: almost everything.

Painful notes: Replace the first cylinder injector (16900 km) rail fuel sensor replacement (30000 km), power failure warning system exhaust for a few days and at different times (then it is off by itself), replacing wastegate and turbo (33,390 km).

I am very disappointed about the reliability because the other machine is truly magnificent.

Sorry to hear that - sympathy.

Mine had its first birthday (counting from delivery date) on Tuesday - 17,000 miles on tarmac, sand and snow and so far nothing whatsoever has gone wrong. Urgently needs some new wiper blades and the attention of a vacuum cleaner, but that really is it.

(Of course, now I've said that, the head gasket will blow next week and a wheel will fall off.)

Just to know, as I have a similar model and I touch iron (not wood being Italian...).

What did it happen after the wastegate and turbo issue: only a power loss or the engine stop?

Thank you.

Bye,

Ratz

Problem is only the wastegate... that is one piece with turbo...

when the problem was felt, the car was in security (you can go very slowly) with the light turned on EPC.

In a word: only power loss.

Thank you.

Nice to hear it was not a "catastrophic" failure...

Bye.
