ive just bought a 42mm festoon bulb for the interior light http://www.lightec-autostyle.co.uk/42mm-festoon-interior-light-dome-bulb-p-118.html and 2 w5w lights http://www.lightec-autostyle.co.uk/quad-sidelight-style-p-126.html for my Vrs but the festoon bulb is too short and doesnt make a proper connection and the w5w bulbs dont work at all, can someone please advise on maybe why the dont work and on which bulbs need to use if these are the wrong ones

the w5w ones are sided so if they dont work turn them round and try the other way, im sure my middle one was 42mm ill have a look

Try bend the connectors closer together so they touch? They're robust enough to take a slight bend here and there. You could always solder on a big dollop of solder on each side to extend the lengthof the bulbs contacts too.

Make sure the bulb is the correct way around, LED's only work one way.

yep mine are 42mm dont know why that wont fit maybe they sent the wrong size?

how does it compare length ways with the one in there already?

Its the same size I bought when I had some in the focus, I thought all the main lights were universal size, maybe not. Will have to have a play with it later on when I'm on my break at work
