Pairing HTC phone to Bolero BT

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me, I've just spent about half an hour trying to pair Kittens HTC phone to the Bolero??

I've looked at the owners manual AND the bolero manual and they are of NO HELP whatsoever :(

I've got to the part where the MFD Maxidot finds the phone, and when I click to 'connect' the phone asks me to conform the "Skoda Bolero BT' and when I click on 'yes' the phone asks me for the pincode??????????

I have tried '0000' & '1234' as well as the phones pincode but the phone just says 'unable to connect to 'Skoda Bolero BT'

I am loosing my patience with this and will end up breaking her phone emoticon-0120-doh.gif

I had an issue when I was trying to connect my Sony W995 in that the bluetooth was on the 'hide' setting when it should be on 'show'.

IIRC when on 'hide' (my normal setting) the Skoda system would still find the phone but not connect to it; I think?

PIN code is in the handbook somewhere; 0000 IIRC

good luck.

I've already tried '0000' but without success emoticon-0183-swear.gif

Fair enough; Check bluetooth setting on your phone was my main suggestion.

The pin code is 1234 according to my online manual. I would also check that Bluetooth setup on the phone is set so that Bluetooth is ON.

Just another thought, how many phones are already paired to the Bolero - you can only have a maximum of three.

Checked the BT settings on the phone as well as the pinches '0000' AND '1234'

Not sure what I've done but its now connected, although the phonebook on the phone never ever transferred over emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

Had NO such probes with my iPhone 4. Must be blooming' HTC to blame for that one emoticon-0179-headbang.gifemoticon-0121-angry.gif

Only 2 phones paired Stewart

Thank you for the replies too :)

If you're passing drop by and I'm sure I can figure it out for you.

Thank you VERY much for your kind offer James, but I'm not passing emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif

This is one of the reasons why you're such a successful dealer.

Maybe when we're (Kitten & I) ready to change Ivor in the future (maybe in about 4 or 5 years time) We'll DEFINITELY pop up to see you.

I won't lie to you. We bought Ivor from Sparshatts in Fareham and we will be seeing who offers the best deal with PX and accessories. emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Be warned though James, I drive a tough bargain emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Sure, no problem! As and when....

On the subject of pairing the phone to the car I don't have much experience of HTC phones but on some Sonys the car will not pair with the phone and the way around this is to search for new devices on the PHONE and find Skoda_BT and request to pair with that.

Give that a go.
