Rear View Camera - Strange behaviour!

Having added an aftermarket rear view camera to an RNS510- This works perfectly, when selecting reverse gear - but only with the ignition 'on', and without the engine running! With the engine running - just a blank blue screen!

Could anyone help me out with the relative VCDS settings, and perhaps some possible explanation please?

Don't think I can be that far away - would be very grateful for any advice please?

Thanks John,

The camera is powered from the reversing lamp feed in the LHS rear lamp cluster.

This seems to be fine.

Have just read somewhere else of someone having a similar problem which was resolved with an RNS510 firmware upgrade, which will be my next step I think!

...yeah of heard alot about software solving many issues..let us know how it goes....

My dealer just emailed me to make booking for it's 2 year service and said I should change brake fluid and have Aircon serviced at the same time, while I understand the brake fluid change, (something years ago we never did at 2 years) im not sure the Aircon needs doing. What's owners views on having these done, car is only on 6k miles and Aircon works great, is it just to get more money out of owners?

Hello, I have a problem with my Mk3 2016 Superb. The AC doesnt cool enough, the radiator is indeed flat and dirty, but i suspect the compressor too. Did you have this problem? How can i diagnosis it better? Thx

Hi, Have anyone retrofitted footwell leds to they'r Scalas ? Im looking for confirmation that I am reading this chart correctly : Do I hook up positive wire to "T73c" connectors pin "65" ? I got a set of 4 lights and harness from Aliexpress and also couple different brackets to try if I could also install these under front seats so they illuminate in the back aswell. And also does anyone know correct way to code these to work properly (Im using OBDEleven) ?

I had a low coolant error flash up the other day (first time ever). Checked coolant level & it was a bit low. Topped it up & will keep monitoring. Question is where has the coolant escaped from? No obvious signs of any leaks. Mileage is 52,500 & next service is away off. Does the 280 have a weep hole in the water pump to indicate a new pump is required?

Hi all, I've just updated my MIB2 Columbus from MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3330 to MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343. The installation completed okay and shows the new version installed but it seems to have enabled component protection. Now the unit has had component protection disabled and SmartLink (AA) enabled before, my car is a 2014 Octavia so originally had a MIB1 in it. Would a firmware update have reset those?
