about 2 month ago i purchased my mk1 fabia vRS and i'm starting to notice that the seats are starting to become abit grubby and are in need of a good clean. what products would you recommend for cleaning the seats and protecting them?

i've been looking at Chemical guys fabric Clean with then applying chemical guys fabric guard after to try and protect the fabric. any idea on the performance of these products or is there any better alternative's?

have a look through the pages inthe Fabia 1 section or use the serach and hundreds (if not thousands) of thread sbout trying to keep the stupid light grey seats will be your reward.

On a I'll help here note:

Some hiree a Rug Doctor from Morrisons/B&Q and used them although that does leave them quite damp.

Others go the whole hog and get a dam good clean and then scotch guard them against future dirt.

Personally I generally use a couple of tins of Autogroom Foaming Upholstery Cleaner available from Halfrauds about once a year.

Spray on. Leave to foam. Rub off. Leave to dry. Simples.

They're still dirty a few days later though :no:

......i just bought some custom covers ...put them over the factory ones and then just take them off every now and then and wash them .....that way they are was like new.......
