How do you fit the reverse sensors in bumper so they work?

Featured Replies

Right, i've got my reverse sensors & they are also colour painted to match the car. I was going to get a local garage to fit them for me but decided to try fit it myself. The only problem is, i'm not sure how to fit the wires! I can drill the small holes in the bumper as it came with a drill piece but does anyone have any idea where the wires to power it go? Any help to explain on how to do this would be very helpful indeed.

Think theres a rubber grommet behing the rear bumper for the 2/4 sensor wires to go to the boot. They plug into the control unit. There should be a buzzer that also plugs into the unit. Then the red wire connects to the wire that is live on the rear cluster when reverse is engaged, and the black to an earth. Think i used the rear light bolt for that but cant remember the exact live reverse wire. ** might be the blue/grey wire on the left rear light, 3rd one down**
