Brembo Brakes

Featured Replies

Well today I bit the bullet and ordered a set of new Brembo Calipers with adapters and ebc Grooved dices and pads.

I put some pics up when they arive.

Apart from having a bit of a show off My question is, Has anybody fitted them behind Pro race 1.2s? If so, any pics, and what size spacers did you use? Im estimating il need +20mm.

Thanks in advance

Whats the stats on the pro race wheels? If 17" - Assume they are Et35 and 7" wide? I would imagine you need 15mm spacers + longer bolts to accommodate them. This is speaking from experience with using a VW 17" wheel with similar stats. 15mm eibach hubcentrics left a decent 8 to 10mm of clearance. :)

Perfect answer Mate, and you are spot on with your presumtions... Heard bad things about using spacers with longer bolts, heard good things about using hubcentric spacers tho, Your opinion?

Its the 323mm setup yes, now youve got me questioning whether they were ebc tho :? Im sure they were, I guess il find out tomorrow, if they are il pass on part numbers etc if your doing a 323mm upgrade

Stock Leon Cupra R discs are 323mm & 5x100, so should be lots of choices in this field

Hubcentric merely says whether the spacer has a "hub" on it, or not. So a hubcentric spacer can be bolt on (usually only 20mm+ though) or 15mm or so, but with holes right through so you use longer bolts. I had 15mm hubcentrics +longer bolts for quite some time, on all 4 wheels, with no issues at all. They were eibach ones, so probably best you can get. :)

Did not know this this has made things a bit easier for me good shout.

As for the spacers if you get H&R spacers you get bolts as well a little more expensive but they are good. And there shouldnt be any issue unless your going mental with the spacer ie 100mm. ive seen quite a few people using 20mm spacers all round with no probs.

I have EBC groved discs with my Brembo's and DS-2500's pad. They stop well. I would say go for DS-2500 pads over the EBC ones though. EBC make good discs but they're not so good with the pads.
