Spacers

Featured Replies

I have alloys on which are 42 offset so im looking to get some 5mm hubcentric spacers.

Do i need new bolts for 5mm ?

If i go for 10mm or 15mm instead what size bolts am i looking to buy as replacements for oem?

Thanks all

Up to you whether you want to risk it. From my research, some people say yes and some no to longer bolts. I know some people on here have run the thinner spacers without longer bolts. You're obviously losing 5mm of thread, but there may be enough to still be safe. DPM do kits with spacers and new bolts, though I don't think they include locking wheel bolts, unfortunately.

I'm in the same situation as you, and I think I'll get longer bolts, as I'm a cautious type! :D

Yea i think i would rather be safe.

What bolts would i need for 5mm ?

Standard wheel bolts are 27mm, so near as dammit 30mm. If you plus 5 on the spacers then plus 5 on the bolts, so 35mm

Always use longer bolts even for as little as 5mm spacers, it's better to be safe then sorry.
