Picked up my new Fabia Scout yesterday after a wait of over 6 months, that said it seems to be a great car even if they did not send the disk to make the sat nav work, so looking forward to getting that working soon I hope. Is this problem and waiting time common ? Would be interested in any comments. Cheers Mike.

Waiting time is a current problem due to supply and demand!

Not sure about the disc for sat nav, once you get it the sat nav will be fine though.

Look forward to seeing some pictures posted of your new baby. The only pictures I've really seen of the scout are the horribly airbrushed ones in the brochure.

Bi glad to hear that your scout has arrived,unfortunately the Amundsen sat nav is hopeless if you are rural will not accept 7digit postcodes ,it's the onl down side ai have had works ok until you put in 7digits,but hoPefully there should be a firmware upgrade fairly early

Thanks for the replies, no time for photo as I am off in the new car, it looks better in the flesh subtly more imposing then my previous Fabia 2 due to a slightly different body shape, and feels bigger inside somehow, and with 17 inch wheels that bit taller, I choose the non metalic dark blue, I am impressed with it. The sat will hopefully be better then the one I currently use on my phone. Cheers Mike.

Yes wait for the Fabia is terrible at the moment. Ordered our vRS estate on 30th Jan, not due to arrive until mid/late May though could be longer if build gets delayed.

Just on the Sat Nav disk, do yourself a favour and buy a 4 gig SD Car (about £ 5 - £8 from anywhere) and when you load the CD go to the settings and copy the Nav data to the SD card so the Nav runs off the SD not CD. Once you do this you then get your CD back to use ! I.E. if you dont normally want to remove the NAV CD then the CD player is using the disk all the time and you cant use the CD for anything else.
