They cannot explain to me why customers who have ordered their vehicles after me some as long as 3 months after have already got their vehicle. How does this work.

Could anyone who ordered after September 2010 a vRS diesel and has already got theirs please message me so I can build up a case against Skoda .

They have supplied me with a new Octavia until mine arrives but this is my first Skoda and will be my last.

May even take delivery and sell the vRS as I have paid the no vat price and could make a profit .

SUK have not given me any explanation as to why my vehicle is so badly delayed I have my own thoughts on this but what does everybody else think is the reason.

Have you got your loan car from Skoda which you are entitled to after 18 weeks they have given me an Octavia to use until the VRS arrives ask for one if you have not already got one as you are legally entitled to it.

thanks matt1.we have kept our existing car so no loan car needed, i am just so frustrated at the full fiasco with skoda, if only they would be honest with us, i did begin to wonder if ours had been sold on but suk told me a couple of weeks ago, build week 21 but unconfirmed.i am beginning to wonder if we will ever get the car

My order was an Anthracite Deisel VRS (no DSG, I like gears :-D ) with xenons and sensors. Ordered 3rd Dec 2010 - getting it 21st May 2011.

Sorry to hear of your problems. I ordered my CR DSG hatch, race blue, spare wheel, MDI, heated seats, curtain airbags and auto dim mirror on 6/12/10 and collected it on 1/3/11. Hope this example helps you.

TBH I think it is the Diesel Engine that is causeing the delay. I ordered a Petrol vRS Hatch Race Blue with DSG on 5 March and it was built last week. Extras include Side Air Bags, Auto lights, Spare wheel, Xenons and Rear Parking sensors.

Still can't understand why other orders have been fulfilled before yours.

Really sorry to hear of your delays- there doesn't really seem to be any sense in others getting theirs when they have ordered significantly later.

If it helps your case I have ordered a diesel manual vRS with Xenons, rear parking sensors, heated seats, maxidot, auto mirror/lights, spare wheel and race blue paint.

Ordered on 23rd December, will take delivery on Friday 15th April.

i was told it was the diesel engine that was the reason for delay. when i asked who made the diesel engines, i was told skoda! then i was quickly told in the same conversation it was the parts needed from bosch that was causing the delay[this cannot be correct in view of people who have taken delivery of their cars who ordered long after i did].i feel let down and fobbed off with everyone i have tried to get an explanation off!

I ordered mine on 6/12/2010 CR hatch in Race Blue leather seats Mdi spare wheel parking sensors f/r auto mirror xenons.

It was supposed to have been built last week (14)I rang on Thursday to be told the build date has been moved to week 17.

I have had various build weeks even as low as 9 but I have to do all the calls.I am peed off now and wish I had not bothered as I sold my other car in Feb as I had been told it would be built week 9.The excitement has now gone.

I ordered my VRS 170CR DSG Hatch in White with Xenons, RPDC, auto mirror/lights/wiper, Bluetooth wheel and spare on 11 December 2010 and collected it March 24th. If it had arrived after Easter I would have cancelled, and even thought about doing so for the wait I had.

My suspicion is that Skoda took the view that rather than p155 more buyers off with long waits they've tried to keep the delay to a minimum but at the expense of delaying further those that ordered in Sept/Oct time.

I also think that some dealers have more influence than others because of volume of orders.

A little OTT there

You're not "legally" entitled to it - you'd find it very difficult to actually force a dealerships hand with threats of legal action if you don't get a loan car.

However SUK did say 18 weeks of waiting and a loan vehicle would be provided, so certainly contact them.

I ordered a petrol vrs, manual, black 07/02/11, was told 12 weeks, on the recommendation of the other posters called SUK - given week 18 as build week, delivery early June.

Not sure how Charlie vrs ordered a month later and it is built a month earlier than mine?

SUK offered £150 of M&S or dealer vouchers if goes past 18 weeks. On the plus side, i have a fixed price trade in so may as well use may car.

this is why i cancelled my order for a cr vrs. I ordered mine on 18-10-10 and was told it should be ready before xmas, then it became feb, then march. Eventually they gave me a build week of 20 so I cancelled and ordered a Fabia VRS mid march which was built last week. I think the issue was the cr engine and the fact they seemed to prefer building cars ordered after Now 10.

ordered september, originally guaranteed march delivery, but told could be earlier. wont believe the car is built until i get the keys!!
