just bought an 06 Octavia and would like a new set of mats for it. The ones I've seen refer to either oval or round clips to secure them in place, what's confusing me is that I can't find anything in the car to fix to?

I have a feeling I'm going to be missing the obvious here...

If you buy the Skoda mats they are supplied with a round boss that screws into the carpet and then the mat 'clips' over the boss. The older style mats had the 'oblong' clip that rotated through 90 degrees.
