Yeti 110 4x4 differential failure

Featured Replies

Just come across a short article on AutoCZ re a long term test Yeti 110 4x4 Ambition that has suffered catastrophic failure of the rear differential. Refers you to an AutoTip magazine article for cause (out this week). However it apears that a cotter pin was missed during assembly :o

Photos are interesting viewing; bottom of the article Auto CZ

Looks like an incident rate of 1. Not likely to have any consequence except for that one vehicle.

i suspect this is a Haldex supplied part, manufactured in Landskrona, Sweden.
