Well ordered my Superb hatchback 4x4 140CR Elegance just before Xmas . Originally dealer that DTD put me with tried to put me off saying car will be at least 6 months. I did not care got a good price and beat the VAT rise. When I contacted dealer a month later to see if there was a build date I was told estimate WK14-15. I then rang at end of WK 14 to be told to my surprise being built next week and expect car to be at dealers 3 weeks later. Now very happy expect my car to exceed expectations. Went for Mocaa, Ivory, Ivory options. Looked evrywhere to see one in the flesh and all photos look black . Then I came across one on the motorway - I followed it for a few miles - How pretty is that colour !!!

It seems a little hit and miss at the moment with delivery times.

Is yours a manual or DSG? Any factory options?

I've ordered a white estate Elegance 1.8 petrol DSG with Auto dimming Mirror, and a heated windscreen.

With all the good weather we've had and the panoramic sunroof been available again I'm thinking about adding the sunroof and sunset glass, and removing the DSG box to balance the books... unless this is going to slow down the order process.

Does anyone have an idea if this would change my build week, I don't have one yet, I only placed the order 2 weeks ago?

I was looking at an almost new Superb 4x4 Estate about a week ago, and enquired about delivery times on new. Dealer (South Bucks) told me that it would be about 6 months on that model and maybe 4-6 weeks less for the hatchback. It's not looking good on Yetis either!

(well, it is looking good from Skoda's point of view... they're selling 'em faster than they're making 'em!)

James > Mine a DSG with various factory fit options - I may even look to come back to Allams for servicing as dealer I went with via DTD too far away to go there regularly. Impressed with you general helpfulness on contributions to the site:+)

This is potentially worrying for me.

My Superb is supplied on the Motability scheme as I broke my neck playing rugby in 1988. I've ordered an otherwise stock 140CR DSG SE hatchback and the dealer had indicated lead times of 10-12 weeks when I placed the order in early March.

I'm desperately hoping that it will be ready by my official swap date of 11th March (16 weeks) or worst case, before I go on hols on 10th August (20 weeks), because there are 4 of us driving all the way to southern Spain. In the Superb, this will be an absolute joy, but if it's badly delayed and we have to do it in my Citroen C4 it'll be bloody torture!!

The very sensible lead-times for the Superb were initially a factor in me choosing it over a Passat Estate (not now, would pick the Superb every time) and the dealer (the actual sales guy is someone I trust from a previous purchase) didn't feel I should have any problems.

Arse.

NOTE:

Actually I'm now wondering if the fact that this is a Motability Fleet order will be a factor in getting it on time. With around 600k vehicles in the UK, I imagine they have a bit of clout with the manufacturers and I'm wondering if this may be a factor.
