Featured Replies

I tried to push my seats forward so pulled the leaver and it snapped off in my hand. how am i meant to get the latch to come off now?

Also, how does the rear upper (backrest) come away from the car?

Not sure on the first mate.

Re: the second, do you mean to remove the seat? If so, you need to lay the back down flat and on the door side, you'll see a latch that needs to be prised back with a flat head screwdriver. Then pull the seat back towards the open door and you'll see that in the centre there is a metal lug attached the the bodywork that is inserted to the lower corner of the seat back - keep moving the seat back toward the door and it'll be free.

NB - for the larger side, you'll need a 17mm socket to unbolt the centre seatbelt before it'll be free. Try to take the seatback out and it'll become apparent what needs to happen :)

If your careful & lazy use your key :)

Any more help?

:)

Open the boot and use a long flat head screwdriver to lift the latch holding the seat in place, that's how release mine after it broke

Can take pictures if required.

I don't have rear seats, but couldn't you use the other side as a guide for the location of the latch from the boot end. you could also test the unhooking with a flat head driver on the other (fully working) side :)

I found that they weigh quite a bit and when they are out, it defo makes a difference in how the car drives - feels more keen ;)

You going any further in the weight loss programme?
