Having been well and truly bitten by the Skoda monster and purchasing an Octavia VRS last year, I am now on the point of ordering a Fabia Elegance for my wife.

I want to include the bluetooth prep and MFSW with phone controls. Can anyone confirm whether the buttons will be on both sides of the steering wheel (as per Octavia)?

I have been told that the Fabia comes with MFSW controls on the left side of the steering wheel only, but the photo below from the Skoda UK website seems to show buttons on both sides.

Any input gratefully received.

You can have just the bluetooth phone prep but you then need to control the phone functions via the trip computer buttons on the wiper stalk. By all accounts its a bit fiddly.

I would recommend ordering the MFSW with phone buttons as you can then control the phone functions via buttons on the right hand spoke. May also control the trip computer (doing away with the wiper stalk buttons) but not sure about this. The non phone MFSW option only controls audio functions and only has buttons on the left spoke. The button controls are the same as those in Audi's, not like the VW ones.

Only thing to be aware of, if you have the phone MFSW, the stereo mute button then becomes solely dedicated to the phone kit, you therefore can no longer mute the stereo. Bit of an oversight but never mind.
